You know me…quick to post a video of some behind the scenes footage about making some type of garment. Today’s video is about the great denim brand PRPS. My first experience with the brand was many years ago. I can’t quite remember when but it went something like this “$400 for a pair of jeans?!?!?!?” WHAT?!?!?!” I was a rookie then not to mention not making much money so if jeans cost more than Diesel jeans then it just didn’t make sense. As I came up in the game with my all around knowledge in fashion I began to understand the pricing and significance of these jeans and this brand. I learned about the cult-like denim culture in Japan. And just earlier this year I almost bought a pair. I love learning about the back story of fashion designers and creatives in general, so this video was a must for me and my blog. Seeing how Donwan has his own personal hobby away from clothing design, his nostalgic point of view, his passion for his premium denim (and a bonus we get to see his sketches.) I’d have to say this is one of the better behind the scenes videos I’ve seen in a while.
