Lately the weather hasn’t been very typical of November, or October for that matter, but now that its December 1st we should expect more consistent seasonal weather. So that means time to beef up the wardrobe (if you haven’t already) as well as your footwear. Break out the boots and put away the light weight sneakers.

Every year around August I start obsessing over boots because I’m an Autumn baby and I love this season. Let’s see…3 years ago I geeked out over a pair of designer rain boots to add to my closet (not worth the money). 2 years ago I was gung ho over military boots with straps or zippers and found a dope pair by Taryn Rose more commonly known for her women footwear. (I couldn’t front on the premium broken in leather) Last Fall I was all in on a couple pair of Polo Ranger boots. I was so inspired by them I may have dropped one of my favorite post ever on those here. This year I went the practical route and kept my eyes open for a pair of knock around boots that are perfect for random rainy days. I found a pair of insulated Timberland Boot Company Field Boots. The Timberlands are are great, but I have few other pair of favorite boots that aren’t in my budget right now thanks to the fact that our Congress is incapable of improving the national budget thus drying up my overtime funds. Check them out below.

Diemme Roccia Vet Suede Boot, $395 at Mr. Porter – Made in Italy. Vibram Soles. D-ring eyelets. Available in a variety of leather and suede colorways. Probably one of the most premium hikers you can buy.

Brown/Brown

Black/Black

Common Projects Leather Duck Boot, $570 at Revolve Clothing – Funny story: My uncle is a Regional manager for Kmarts in the Mid-Atlantic. When I was a kid he was just the manager of the shoe department and he had an endless supply of the Kmart brand Duck boots. I loved how they kept your feet dry but I never ever liked how they looked…until now. Common Projects totally cleaned these up man.

Mason Martin Margiela Short Boots, $654 at Aloha Rag – These are my wild card! The ”you don’t know what they are but you know they’re something” boots for the year. I’d totally rock these…with the detachable sock lining of course. They’re available in Black but you appreciate the calf leather much more in the chestnut brown. These are the buildings that crushed the pink cookies LL rapped about.
