New year! New look for the website! New projects! Same old attitude!
2012 is officially upon us and for me nothing much has change from what I did in 2011. I’ll continuing to work harder and do all that I can whenever I can. Last year I learned that the more work you do…the more work you’ll do. Staying busy begets more production and more opportunities. So for me the “NEW” in New Year stands for “never ending work”. I’ll be the first to admit it’s really hard to stay focused on one or a few things when there are always things around to knock you off your path. Another lesson I’ve learned in 2011 is that you have to keep your mind set on your goal(s) because your plans can change as you work through obstacles and pass distractions to achieve that goal.
I’ve stopped making resolutions years ago because I’m always working to improve something daily. So the change of the year won’t motivate me any more than the change of the hour or the day. However I have started a New Year’s tradition that allows me to be creative in focusing on my goals for the year. That tradition is creating a vision-board. I encourage EVERYONE to create a vision-board of some kind. It really helps to write down your goals and physically place them in front of you. Seeing it in real life triggers something that just thinking about it does not. I created a vision-board for 2011 and wrote a list of goals. Most of my goals were accomplished for the year. I’m proud of that. My vision-board is pretty personal because I don’t like sharing all my thoughts. Now that 2011 is over and I new visions and goals I’ll share my old vision-board. Check it out below…
Ok enough about my vision-board and my feelings about the New Year go out and make this year better than last year and the years before it. Be creative, be productive, and be progressive! Don’t forget to check back in and see what I have going on here at MeetiQuell.com for the rest of this year.
