Ms. Lowe was a math and special education teacher for many years at HEMS before transitioning to a position at Huntington High School as the graduation coach.  There she helped her previous HEMS students stay on track for graduation.  After her last graduating class of former HEMS students walked across the stage, Ms. Lowe then returned to HEMS to be a guidance counselor.  Ms. Lowe also runs a local group fitness gym where she enjoys sharing her passion for wellness with many of her HEMS colleagues.  

Roles and Responsibilities  

• Student enrollment for students L-Z 
• Academic planning and advisement
• Orientation, coordination, and academic counseling for new students 
• Provide short-term individual and small group counseling 
• Present school counseling curriculum lessons to students 
• Student advocate 
• Help with student social and emotional issues 
• Consult with parents about student academic and personal needs 
• Make referrals to outside services
